At the end of 2015 I got my own camera, a entry level DSLR and it was at the same time of the Gujarati Cultural Society’s Dinner & Dance. I decided to take my camera along and create a little promo video of the event.
My main motivation for shots was to cover all the things at the event, the food, dancing, performances, exhibitors and people having a good time. One of the filming techniques that I used during this production, was a rack focus. Prior to the image above it is when video is blurry and then it becomes clear.
Due to the event being of an Indian origin, the colours of the fiction where very rich and vibrant. I simply retained the saturation of the original footage and the outfits look great in contract with the interior decoration.
